Droppah's Timesheet Export feature allows you to create a custom CSV file, so that you can easily export your employee timesheet data, ready for import into any payroll or reporting systems.
Once your employees have clocked in and out for the week, you can navigate to the Timesheet View and click on the options button in the top right corner of the page. Select Export Timesheet.
A pop up will appear, confirming the Team and date range you're downloading time for. The date range to export can be changed if required by clicking the Change Dates button, and selecting the appropriate period.
When you're happy with the details, click Export Timesheet to download the timesheets. A CSV file will download to your device.
Customising your Export Template
You can change the formatting and data included in your exported file to suit your company's requirements. To make changes to the template, click on the drop-down menu to the top right of the screen and select Settings, then navigate to the Export Template tab.
The information included in your report is entirely up to you and can be defined by adding or removing columns from the report, and customising how the included columns will appear.
Adding & Removing Columns
To add a new column, select it from the Columns area on the right-hand side of the page. Alternatively, you can click the purple '+ Column' button and select the required columns to add.
To remove a column you no longer require in your export, click the red Remove button, which can be accessed by clicking the column to expand it.
The table below lists the columns available to export out of Droppah.

* These fields will only appear if the 'Allow Export IDs' setting is enabled. See the 'Settings' section of this article below for more information
** If this field is included in the export, Team Managers who don't have the 'Payrates Visible' setting turned on will be unable to export timesheets.
To customise the details of your columns, click on a column to expand it.
There are two settings you can change on each of the columns in your export:
Alias - Your preferred name for this column. This will be included in your report if the 'Include Headers' setting is turned on, instead of the Droppah name for that field. For example, if your payroll system requires an 'Employee Name' column, you'd want to set that as the alias on the 'Person Display Name' column.
Format - Customise the data format of the column. The formats types available are:

|Text||Choose between upper and lower case formatting. Selecting 'None' will format the text exactly as it has been entered in the corresponding Droppah field.|
|Date||Choose between (MM/DD/YYYY), (DD/MM/YYYY), abbreviated (i.e. 14 Oct, 1983) and the date written in full (i.e. 14 October, 1983).|
|Number||Choose to round figures to 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 decimal places.|
|Time||Choose to have the time written numerically (i.e. 10/14/1983, 1:30 PM), written in full (i.e. Oct 14th, 1983, 1:30 PM) or in 24 hour time with no date information (i.e. 13:30).|
You can also click and drag on the handlebars icon to rearrange the order of your columns to suit.
In the top right of the page, you can customise two additional settings:
Include Headers - This setting determines whether the first line of your export file contains headings. By default, the headers will be the names of the columns, but you can set an Alias on each column if you wish to customise the header titles - see the 'Editing Columns' section above for more detail.
Allow Export IDs - Enabling this setting will make two additional columns available - Person Export ID and Work Group Export ID. These fields are useful if the system you wish to export to has custom IDs. Once enabled, you will find an 'Export ID' field on your People and Work Groups in Droppah, so that you can specify the appropriate ID that should be exported. See the screenshots below to see where these fields will appear.
