Employee Profile Photos Available 04/05/2026
How photos are set
There are two ways a profile photo can be set for an employee.
At clock-in or clock-out
If an employee doesn't already have a profile photo saved, they'll be offered the option to save their clock photo as their profile image after clocking in or out. A prompt will appear with a Save as my profile image checkbox — if they tick this and confirm, that photo will be saved as their profile picture going forward.
By a manager or admin
Managers and admins can set or update a profile photo directly from the employee's profile in the People tab. Click the employee's name to open their profile, then click on their profile image in the top left to see the options.
Clicking the image will show a dropdown with two options:
Change Profile Image — upload a new photo from your device
Clear Profile Image — remove the current photo
Or Upload Profile Image if there isn't one set already.
Where profile photos appear
Once a photo is set it will appear throughout Droppah wherever that employee is shown, including:
The People tab
The Calendar — in both the Resources and Timesheets views
The Time Clock — on the clock-in screen and the live clocked-in list
The Employee Mobile App — employees can see their own photo and their teammates' photos on the roster view
Frequently asked questions
Can an employee change their own photo? Not directly from the web app. Photos can be saved at clock-in or clock-out if the employee opts in at that point, or updated at any time by a manager or admin from the People tab.
What if an employee doesn't have a photo? If no photo has been set, their initials will display as a placeholder wherever a profile image would normally appear. Next time they clock in they will be asked if they would like to save their clock image as their profile photo.
Can I remove an employee's photo? Yes. Open the employee's profile in the People tab, click their profile image, and select Clear Profile Image.
