Calendar Views

Written by Gina Murphy

The Calendar in Droppah has four different views which suit different points in your rostering and time capture process. Each view has different options and functionality available for managing the roster entries or worked shifts for your employees.

Click into the Roster or Resources tabs (available on the Free and The Works plans), or Timesheets tab (available on all plans) to access the relevant view.

The Roster view is where you'll load and publish rosters each week. Learn more here: Loading Rosters with Droppah

The Resources view shows details on an employee-by-employee basis, and allows you to manage start and end times, add one-off shifts, and drag shifts between employees as needed. Learn more here: Calendar - Resources View

The Timesheets view is where you can view and manage shifts once they've been worked, and send time to payroll (if you're using our PayHero Integration or Xero Payroll Integration) or Export Timesheets. Learn more here: Calendar - Timesheets View

The Overtime view highlights extra hours worked by your staff based on your overtime rules, as well as any allowances that will apply. Learn more here: Overtime and Allowances

Weekly Totals

The summary bar at the top of the calendar shows key metrics at a glance. Click the Weekly Totals dropdown to choose which figures are displayed:

  • Timesheet hours - Total hours from submitted timesheets

  • Rostered cost - The total cost of rostered shifts for the week

  • Actual cost - The total cost based on timesheet entries

  • Ordinary hours - Standard (non-overtime) hours worked

  • Overtime hours - Hours that fall into overtime

  • Budgeted cost - Your budgeted labour cost for the week

  • Forecast revenue - Projected revenue based on your selected Revenue Period

  • Actual revenue - Real revenue entered manually or pulled in from your POS

  • Labour % - Labour cost as a percentage of revenue

You can toggle multiple metrics on or off at any time. See Revenue & Labour Costs for further details on each metric.
