Already have a report layout you like, maybe something your accountant sends, a template from your old system, or a POS export? You can hand that to Claude and have it rebuild the same layout using your live Droppah data instead. This assumes you've already connected Droppah to Claude, if not, see Connecting Claude to Droppah first.
Building the report
Upload the report (a PDF, spreadsheet, or even a photo of a printed copy).
Tell Claude what each section or column means.
Ask it to recreate the same layout, filled in with your Droppah roster, timesheet, or revenue data for whatever period you want.
Point out anything you'd like adjusted, spacing, totals, extra columns, and Claude will refine it.
Once it's producing the layout you want, you have a repeatable report you can ask for again any week with a new date range.
Example: a custom roster PDF

Don't have a template to upload? You can also just describe the format you want. Here is an example prompt and the resulting pdf.
Pull the roster for [team name] for next week starting [start date] via the Droppah connector, including everyone who has a shift or isn't archived.
Build a landscape PDF:
- Title "[Team] — weekly roster", date range top-right small grey
- Table: employee names down the left, one column per day headed with full weekday + date (e.g. "Wednesday, 12 Aug")
- Days with zero shifts across the whole team get a visibly narrower column
- Rows alternate light grey/white shading across the full width, so it's easy to track a name to the end of the week
- Each shift is a chip with just an outline in that work group's actual colour from Droppah
— small work group name label, bold prominent start–end time in dark neutral text
- If someone has multiple shifts in one day, stack the chips in that cell
You can paste this prompt in as-is, filling in the team name and date, and adjust the description if you want something different, more columns, a different layout, your own logo, and so on.
Make it run automatically every week
If you'd rather not ask for it each time, you can set this up as a weekly scheduled task in Claude Cowork. You describe the report once (the format, the data it should pull, who it's for), pick "weekly" and a day and time, and Claude generates it on that schedule from then on without you having to ask again.
A couple of things worth knowing:
Scheduled tasks are a Claude Cowork feature, on a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). This is separate from your Droppah plan, your Claude account needs to be on a paid tier to schedule it.
Have it produce a draft for you to glance over rather than auto-send anywhere important, at least for the first few runs, until you're confident it's pulling the right data every time.
FAQ
Can I get Claude to send me the same report every week automatically? Yes, using Claude Cowork's scheduled tasks feature. Set up the report format once, choose a weekly cadence, and Claude will regenerate it with fresh Droppah data each time. This requires a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise), it's not available on Claude's free plan, regardless of which Droppah plan you're on.
What file types can I upload as a template? A PDF, a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV), a Word document, or even a photo or screenshot of a printed report. Claude can work from any of these to understand the layout you want.
Will it match the formatting exactly, not just the data? Usually close, but expect to do a bit of back and forth. Tell Claude what to fix (column order, headings, totals, number formatting) and it'll adjust. It gets easier each time since you can reuse the same instructions once you're happy with the result.
