Strict Start and Strict End help keep time tracking fair and consistent. They ensure clock-ins and clock-outs match rostered times exactly, so you only pay for the hours you’ve scheduled.
What are Strict Start & Strict End?
Strict Start – When turned on, any employee who clocks in early will have their start time snapped to the rostered start time instead of their actual clock in.
Strict End – When turned on, any employee who clocks out late will have their end time snapped back to the rostered end time instead of their actual clock out.
How to enable or disable Strict Start / Strict End
You can toggle these options on or off when creating or editing a Work Group:
Go to Manage > Work Groups in Droppah.
Click an existing Work Group to edit it, or click New Work Group to create one.
In the settings, you’ll see checkboxes for Strict Start and Strict End.
Tick Strict Start to snap early clock ins to the rostered start time.
Tick Strict End to snap late clock outs to the rostered end time.
Click Save to update the Work Group.
If you leave these unticked, employees’ actual clock in and clock out times (even if early or late) will be recorded as they happen.
Once enabled, all staff clocking in/out of a work group with these settings applied will have their shifts snapped to their rostered start/end times.
