Once your roster is complete, it's important to publish your roster. Publishing ensures that employees clocking in and out of the Time Clock have their time recorded with the appropriate details, and allows you to notify employees and download roster PDFs.
In the pop up that appears, you can choose to download the roster schedule in the Roster View, Resource View, or both. You can also choose to notify employees of their shifts for the week.
When you click Publish, the following actions will occur (see the 'Published Rosters' section below to see what each of these look like):
- If you selected either of the Download Roster options, your roster PDF(s) will be downloaded
- Any selected employees will be emailed their roster for the week, provided they haven't disabled email notifications via the Employee Mobile App
- Push notifications will be sent to the Employee Mobile App for any selected employees who are eligible to receive them..
When you view the roster from this point, there will be purple ticks beside each date indicating that the day is published.
If you have any last-minute changes you need to make to your roster, you can change them and later republish the roster. Days that have been changed will display an orange circle with the number of changes made:
Once the required changes have been made to your roster, click Publish to republish the roster and choose which employees should be notified of their updated roster.
If you choose the Download Rosters option when publishing your roster, you can choose the Roster View or Resource View. Both views show each shift and employee for the period.
This PDF report shows the rostered shifts in chronological order for the week, for an overview of the week.
This PDF report shows the roster in employee order, so each employee can see when they're working at a glance.
The roster emailed to employees is streamlined to show only their own shifts.
Mobile App Notification
Employees can receive push notifications to their mobile phone when you publish a roster.
Receiving push notificaitons requires that the employee has:
- Been Invited to Droppah
- Accepted their Invite
- Installed the Employee Mobile App
- Push notifications enabled for the app
Push notifications may take up to a minute or two to arrive after you publish the roster. Learn more about what the roster will look like in the app here: Employee Mobile App
