The Resource View in Droppah's Calendar allows you to view and manage the rostered shifts and time entries for each employee, as well as any days each employee is unavailable for the week.
Time entries that have been worked will show as solid colour entries, while rostered shifts that haven't yet been worked (either by clocking out or by generating time from the shift) will remain unfilled.
Rostered shifts will show a purple tick if they've been published.
If your staff aren't able to work on certain days - either due to their weekly availability or because they've requested time off - the days will be blocked out in the calendar.
See more information on how to record availability for your staff here.
Adding Shifts
You can add a shift to a person by clicking on the day you wish to add a shift to.
You can also click on an existing shift if you wish to add another shift for the same person on the same day. Once you've clicked on the day, click + Shift on the left-hand side of the pop-up. You'll be prompted to pick the Shift you wish to add, and then the Work Group that should be assigned to the Shift.
Once selected, you'll be able to edit the start time, end time and break duration if desired. Click Save.
Editing Shifts
You can click on a shift to view and edit the details for the shift.
You can edit any of the details for the shift and click Save, or click Delete Shift if you wish to remove the shift.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop a shift if you need to move it to someone else, or hold Ctrl/Cmd and drag a shift to copy it.
It's important to ensure you Publish your rosters after making any changes - you'll see a red indicator for any details that have been edited after the roster was originally published.
Daily View
For finer visibility and control over all the shifts on a particular day, simply click on the date to navigate to the Daily View.
Within the daily view, you can click and drag the start or end of any shift to shorten or extend it as required. This can be done for shifts that have already been worked, as well as shifts in the future. If you adjust a shift that hasn't been worked yet, you'll need to Publish the roster again to save the changes.
Generate Time from Shifts
If your employees haven't clocked in for previous shifts, you can turn the shift into worked time with just a couple of clicks.
When you click on a shift that falls in the past, you'll have the option to click Generate Time from Shift in the top right corner.
After clicking Generate Time from Shift you can change the start time, end time, or break duration as needed. Click Save to save the time entry.
If you wish to turn all unworked shifts for a week into time entries you can do so from the Timesheet View.
