Rockstar shifts allow admins and team managers to assign one-off shifts in Teams that are light on cover to employees who don't usually belong to that team.
To create a rockstar shift, head to the Calendar > Roster page and take the following steps:
- Click into a shift that you need extra cover for
- Change the Team dropdown at the top of the Available People list to view employees from other teams
- Choose your rockstar from the available employees
Rockstars will appear with a star icon beside their name in the Roster view:
As well as in the Resources and Timesheet views:
Frequently Asked Questions
The employees that are available to choose from will follow the same logic as if you were rostering someone from your own team, meaning they must:
- Be assigned to the Work Group that you're rostering
- Not have any scheduled Time Off for the date/time you're rostering
- Be available for that day according to the weekly availability set in their record via the People tab
People who are rostered onto rockstar shifts will show up on the clock page 1 hour before the start of their shift so that they are able to clock themselves in for their rockstar shift.
If you need to call a rockstar in earlier than your originally planned, make sure you edit the start time of the shift and republish the roster so they can clock in.
